911DA Story: Story
On September 11, 2002 I was at work in Laconia, New Hampshire when the horrible news came across the radio. When the first plane hit the towers I remember thinking that it must have been an accident. It wasn't until after the second plane hit that I began to realize that this couldn't possibly be an accident.
My husband was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that week on business and when I heard about the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania, my heart just dropped and I began to panic. I was 6 months pregnant with our first child at the time. I frantically called my husband in Pittsburgh and interrupted him at a conference that he was attending. I became hysterical when I heard his voice and I remember him trying to calm me down because he didn't want me to upset the baby. It was such a horrible day and I will never forget the heros that gave their lives for our country that day.
