I was sitting in English class and my prinicpal came on to the intercom and said to turn off all TVs, Radios, and computers because we were experiencing a power shortage. So we did. Then he came to our room and took the teachers out to the hall. They came back in looking extremely upset. One had tears in her eyes. But they didn't tell us anything. My friend's mom was suppose to be flying that day. But she waited for the next flight so she could bring my friend and her brother to school. So the teachers told my friend that her mom wouldn't be flying at all and she was going to stay home. But they wouldn't tell my friend why she wasnt going and they wouldn't let her call her mom. We were very confused...we didn't really think of much until we got onto the busses to get home. See where I live, there's two middle schools. The kids in the other school knew what happened. But they didn't know details. They told us two planes had crashed into the World Trade Centers. We thought that maybe it was an accident....but we were kind of scared because they mentioned terrorists. When I got home I found out everything. We were the only school that they didn't tell...but they thought it would be better for us. Im still not sure about that one. I thank God everyday that I didn't lose anyone I know. But to all that did, my heart goes out to you. United We Stand, Together We Heal. We can never forget.
