This is not my story.....this is something I wanted to express on this anniversary
Let us not forget that day we stood as one
Regardless of the perils that we faced
Let us not forget the way ours colors flew
In spite of the terrors that took place
The colors on our flag are there to let us know
That it means something to be in America
It was with that thought that heroes were found
They already were, but now it's been shown
We came together and showed the world
The meaning of humanity and brotherhood
In due time we can only hope
They'll understand how our flag still stood
