Our son had turned 1 the day before and we were still reveling the fact we have three beautiful children and were so blessed. Oddly enough my husband was home working on the 11th. The baby and I were on the couch reading when our phone kept ringing. As I was recieving a message from my mother of the first plane Ed was coming up the stairs, He had himself recieved the same message from work. We met at the top of the stairs and turned on the t.v.. As we turned to watch we both just held our son so tight and saw the other tower be hit. It is rare for Ed to be home I just couldn't belive that God let us be together to hear and see all the devastation. all the emotions you felt were so overwhelming. To be able to look in the eyes of your innocent child and see such hope gave us both tremendous peace. One year later with Brian now 2 I now can relate when a grandparent or family member recants where they were for World war 2 or President Kennedy's death or when Elvis died. Years from now I hope all of our children and Ed and I never forget that one morning where time just stood still.
