911DA Story: Story

I was in Mililani, Hawaii and heard of the attacks when I woke up in the morning. Because of the time difference, everything happened early in the morning. Everyone went to school as normal since Hawaii wasn't in any danger. For part of the classes, we were allowed to watch the news so we could see what was happening. School was pretty normal since we were so far removed, but we didn't concentrate on anything other than the attacks. I wasn't scared of anything happening in Hawaii, but I was kind of stunned. Seeing the planes crash and everybody running away was disconcerting. Nothing like that had ever happened before. As soon as it was known who was to blame, I was immediately angry at the Muslim terrorists for killing so many innocent people
The only personal connection I had to the attacks was that a family friend was in Washington DC and was supposed to meet with the general who was killed at the Pentagon. The friend's household goods arrived from Hawaii to his new house, so he had to cancel the meeting. If he hadn't canceled, he could have died.
