911DA Story: Story

I was sitting in my living room when I'd first heard of what had happened, and immediately after had to make my way to work. It was an extremely difficult day to get though, for the obvious reasons of course, but also due to the fact that I had friends in New York, and no way of contacting them. Luckily everyone was ok, but it was days before I was able to find that out. Although every one I personally knew was all right, there were two people close to me whom had lost a loved one. One of which being Chad. He is an incredible, selfless person whom through this year has always been there when you needed him. He can always seem to make me laugh even when I think I can't smile. Always thinking of other's and asking if there's anything he can do to help, whilst he himself has been in pain. And so-

Chad,

I have tried to come up with a million ways to say I am thinking of you today 9/11.. But cant seem to put it into words. May you find strength to get through today with friends, family and the memories of your lost soulmate. May you find the peace in your heart and peace of mind, as you continue your journey down life's road. Today while everyone is reflecting on their lost mother's, father's, sisters, brothers, fallen fellow fire fighters, and police officers, husbands, wives, friends, and coworkers, we here will be by your side, praying for you. We will be here to comfort you if need be. God bless you Chad......We love you!

And to everyone else who has lost a loved one know that you have people thinking and praying for you on your loss on 9/11/01. We love you!

One year ago today, our nation suffered a great loss. We wept not only as Americans, but as humans.

One year later, here we stand. Mourning. Comforting. Sharing a pain that is now considered part of our history.

Our children will never see the Towers or know an America that is 'invincible' against attack.

An innocent time is gone replaced by a Patriotic, stronger America. When we needed to come together? We did.

Cruel people took away mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, children, grandparents. Ripped them away as if they had the right.

We grieved as a nation but here we stand, a year later, facing that grief with a hint of smile. Lending a hand to each other and fighting for our freedom and our liberty.

We will never forget the pain, the agony, the panic. But we have learned and grown stronger.Today I will light candles for those taken and for their families. Today I will remember how a few hours changed the course of so many lives. But I will also celebrate being American and cherish what that means.

Today I will be stronger and smile, and love everyone in my life a little more.Today I will hold my head up proudly and smile in the face of pain and say God Bless America.

"Tomorrow's not promised to you at all"

In other words? Cherish each other. Love and spread love. Smile and hold tight what's precious.

Never forget
God Bless
