911DA Story: Story
September 11th was a day that will live infamy, honor, and as a symbol of American heroism. That morning that I awoke to find the horrid flashes of the WTCs on my TV, blaring at the brutality, I felt anger, and began to question why it had happened. I began to question motive. Death and destruction over a petty difference. Infamy from the few who caused so much destruction. Honor, in memory of those who perished. And heroism, in the name of those who sacrificed so much, for so many others. Being a native New Yorker did not make it any easier in accepting that 47 from my mother's neighborhood had died in the flames. This is a commemoration, for those who died, and those who will lived forever in honor.
