911DA Story: Story

I Wonder How We Can Live in Such a World

I read about these men and women who died for reasons out of their control
I still have the memory of watching two buildings in my own country crashing down
My mind cannot fathom how outsiders came into my country and killed my people
Crying, I wonder how we can live in such a world

I cannot even begin to understand the pain of those who lost loved ones on that tragic day
All I can do is pray that they can once again find normalcy in their everyday lives
And that their lost loved ones are now in a much better place
Crying, I wonder how we can live in such a world

I am astonished, thinking about how people came into my country with the intent to kill
How they could commit such an act without an ounce of guilt or remorse
And how they could do all of this and walk away without any punishment
Crying, I wonder how we can live in such a world

I hear the tales of the numerous people who lost those most important to them
I cannot believe how well they cope with their unbelievable losses
And go on living with such immeasurable strength
Crying, I wonder how we can live in such a world

September 11th is a day forever emblazoned in our hearts and minds
Terrorists took over our airplanes and crashed into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon
Thousands of loved ones and fellow Americans died tragically and unforgettably
Crying, I wonder how we can live in such a world
