911DA Story: Story
I was writing a letter to President Bush and watching T.V
I had been having problems with the INS over my husband staying with me, which he is from Central america. Anyway I just finished the letter and dated it, when all of a sudden the news flashed that the first tower was hit, at first I thought oh what a tragic accident and then boom I watched in horror as the second tower was hit, I couldn't move I was paralyzed from shock and disbelief.I kept telling myself this is not happening, I called my mother and told her look at the news, she started crying and I said oh my god call grandma, she lives there around the area, no luck at all. so I kept watching the news and listening to the radio all day long.I went to pick up my kids from school that afternoon when I seen the effect it had on everyone around me it was so hurtful, and everybody was crying everywhere....THAT WAS THE DAY THE WORLD STOOD STILL..It seem like nobody was moving..In conclusion I never mailed my letter and I still have it..My heart goes to the families and survivors.....Thank you to all the firemen and police and all volunteers for their help in sparing 2 of my family members lives.......
