Watching the Today Show as I was preparing to walk out the door to work. When Katie announced ansd I saw the video, I thought "My God, thousands of people have just lost their loved ones and don't even know it. When Matt Lauer said "IF it was an accident..." I thought My God, I never condidered other possibilities. That's why I'm not a journalist and he is.
I had cousins there. Amazingly, everybody's OK.
I went to work. We stood around a TV for 45 mins or so and went back to our jobs.
I just joined aol's remembrance and lit a "candle" with the message:
This circle of light shines both on our past as ''a nation conceived in liberty'' and for the future of freedom around the world. I watched the Trade Centers rise toward the sky,though only 14 yrs old, very aware of their architectural significance. And I watched them fall a year ago, all the more aware of their significance for democracy, family, understanding, strength and the United States of America.
