I was 5 months pregnant at the time of the attacks. I had taken some temporary jobs to earn a little extra money to get ready for the baby. So I was sitting in work - in small office near the kitchen. I remember hearing a lot of people going in and out of the kitchen that morning talking - so I got up from my desk and asked one of the people what was going on. He said to me - Didn't you hear - a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center. I just stood there in complete shock - I couldn't believe what I was hearing and I just knew something was terribly wrong - that there was something more to it than a plane having a malfunction. I immediately rushed back to my office and went online and then called my mother. Then the other plane hit and my fear grew even more. All I could think about was my child. I stayed online all day in horror - not believing what I was hearing - I was in complete shock. The Trade Center - The Pentagon and the plane in Pennsylvania.

When I left work that day all I could do was look up at the sky and wonder what was next. I went home watched the news and cried.
