This isn't my original story which is posted elsewhere on this archive but a reflection on today and events in my life since. Since 9/11 I have had events of major loss that were unconnected to 9/11 but which make the memory of that day very special. The morning of 9/11 my husband had gone to our community site to take our trash and as he arrived back home I had just turned on the news reports of the tower bombings. We watched the tower fall together, holding on to one another and weeping. Since that time, my home has burned, my husband has passed away and so have both of my parents. Today I have felt very heavy and oppressed all day, almost like that original day. My life is going very well at the moment but I think I am feeling some of the collective grief. Carl Jung would say I am feeling with the collective unconscious. Perhaps so, I surely am holding all the affected famlies in my prayers today. God bless you all!
