911DA Story: Story
I was traveling down the road and heard I heard it on the radio. I could not believe my ears. So, when I arrived at home I tuned in to the television and saw it for the first time. I watched as the towers fell that morning, plus the reinactment of the planes going in the towers. Then I saw the pentagon. I began to cry. Watching all those people run with blood on their faces and bodies. The dust was horrible. All these emotions hit me first came sorrow, then shock, anger, hopelessness, then came the patriot in me. I stood tall for one moment then I knew that we as a nation would unite and be as one. They may have destroyed our cities but they can not destroy our American spirit or heart.
Then I heard about the heros in Shanksville ,Pennsylvania. The flight crew of flight 93. I knew then that in the time of turmoil there are those that will prevail.
I still can not believe this happened to us and it has been a year. All those innocent people that perished for power. I light a candle in the rememberance of them that went before us. The NYPD,FDNY,EMS, and thousands of civilans. May God be with their families and friends, and may our nation be able to pick up the pieces that have fallen. Minute by minute, hour by hour we will rebuild our hearts, then the days to come the country. I would like to convey my thanks for all the uniform the police, fire fighters, EMS, and the military for all there services they do without hesitation. Doing the selfless act that they do day in and day out. I salute you. To the President I stand beside you. To the country and Lady Liberty I love you. God Bless Us All.
