911DA Story: Story
Overwhelming disbelief, fear, anxiety, and anger when the 2nd plane plowed through the 2nd tower. Stunned umcomprehending looks on the faces of firemen, policemen, and the general public, who seemily were all momentarily rooted to pavement facing the doomed towers.
As the first tower collasped, two co-workers and I were leaving the street underpass at the Brooklyn Bridge . Roaring thunder, then smoke and a frightened sea of humanity moved eastward in our direction as we navigated northward. The collaspe of the 2nd tower followed shortly.
An inkling of the realization of the magnitude of this tragedy emerging through my thought patterns.
Why? Why? Why?
