The attack happened 5 days after my birthday, and it really ripped my heart out to hear about the lives lost doing this tragedy. On that day I was on duty all day and night. My commander came to us and told us that the United States had to make a drastic change because of the tragedy. I said to myself that I never thought that with an army like ours this would ever happen, but on that day I was proven wrong. I didn't have any family in New York, but I had an uncle working at the pentagon when the attack happened. I wanted to do what it took to bring those to justice who turned our country upside down.
