911DA Story: Story

I had just arrived home from visiting the library when I saw the news. I could not believe my eyes. My husband was out of the country on a mission trip and was suppossed to return home that day. It seemed like an eternity before we were able to contact each other. I sat there watching the news and have never felt more depressed or scared in my life. I wanted to know who would do this to our country and why. What had all those innocent people done that justified their deaths? I don't know if there will be another time in our lives when we again see the things that happened on September 11, 2001. I pray that I don't live through another day like that. I cannot imagine the struggles that all those families have endured and I would not wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy. My husband was delayed for a week and said he had never been so scared in his life. He was locked out of his country and really did not have a full understanding of what was going on. I have tremendous respect for all those who tirelessly worked to clean up the mess that the terrorists made in our country. I thank God that the devastation was not worse. I pray that all those who took part in the destruction will see the error of their ways and will no longer take part in activities aimed at hurting other people. Thank you for allowing me the freedom to tell my story and let other people know how I feel.
