Last week at the Israeli Consulate in New York, 13 groups representing the Anglican Church came to the event marking Jerusalem Day, the anniversary of the Israeli conquest of East Jerusalem during the 1967 War. The groups offered a prayer for Jerusalem and began preaching their message to those present. According to the faith of these evangelists, the problems of the Middle East will not be solved by political actions, but only from spiritual ones and from the lifting of peoples spirits.

At the end of the event, the members of the congregation offered their support for Israel on behalf of their Churches. They also declared that the church had been wrong to persecute Jews in the past.
