On September the 11th our principal made an announcement late in the school day at our Middle School saying that there was a plane crash in New York and nobody from our town was hurt. I don't know why. When we got home we realized what had happened, and we had no idea that it was this serious. We had no idea that it was this serious. After hearing the announcement we hadn't though it was serious at all. Even more disgracefully after all the high school sports were cancelled for the day, our 7th and 8th grade football team decided to practice because according to the coach "it was safe". With the addition of my two hours of homework that day, there was no point that I was not able to let the whole event sink in and think about it. The next day in school, we barely discussed it. Kids aren't stupid, they deserve to know whats going on inside and outside the classroom, and they should have the right to talk about they're feelings in a time like this.
