It was a typical day I began early going into work. While I was typing away and listening to the radio and all of the sudden the DJ started talking about a plane flying into one of the world trade center buildings. I remember feeling something that I never felt before (and hope to never feel again) which was fear and helplessness. I tried logging into newspaper websites and couldn't get into any of them. I called my boyfriend because he was still at home and wasn't coming into work until after lunch. I told him what I had heard and he turned on the TV and we talked for a while and he recounted what he was hearing. I told him to keep calling me every once and a while to keep me updated. I remember hanging up with him and talking with some of my family and just praying. I remember praying for our country and those that were lost and there families and for our president. I knew President Bush was going to have alot to deal with and alot of tough decisions to make. I remember praying for my family also and thanking God that they were all safe. I remember not getting any work done all day at work. All my co-workers were by my desk and we were all talking about what was going on. I remember listening to the radio and hearing about the other tower being hit and then the Pentagon. I couldn't believe this was happening to America. I never use to pray for our country but know I realize how important it is to pray for it.
