911DA Story: Story
I will never forget that dreadful day. I was at work when I heard that one of the twin towers had been hit. At first I was in disbelief up until the second tower was hit. I rushed to our kitchen area where there is a television, however, they were doing a lot of talking and the picture was not really clear. All day long everyone kept asking us did you hear about the World Trade Center, Pentagon, the planes and all the people that were presumed dead or missing. The reality of it all did not come until I got home that evening and saw the actual news coverage. The image that burns in my memory is that of those planes crashing into the towers. It seemed as if it was a bad dream. I watched that one particular shot over and over again. It just lets me know that nothing is safe and we as Americans have to be on our toes at all times. The world does not have to be bad, it is certain individuals that make it that way. We as a PEOPLE should be able to live harmoniously. Keep hope ALIVE and God Bless America.
