911DA Story: Story
9/11/01 Retold
Back at C-j, I had gym third period. One of my friends came in and said ?Those damn Afghans are taking over the world.? Naturally thinking that he was joking the lockeroom filled with laughter. He kept going on and on about how they were trying to kill us. When we finally made it up to the gym, they gave an announcement that the World Trade Center had been attacked by kamikaze crazy guys and I was very very appaulled. I was scared for my life and wanted my mommy. I thought that they were coming to the base next. That made me realize that every problem, disagreement, any kind of conflict was not worth worrying about. When I saw the special edition newspaper that evening, the severity of the attack was brought to reality and I knew then, at that instant, that the lives of all would never be the same again........ever..........for anyone......ever......again.
