911DA Story: Story
On the tragic day of September 11, exactly one year ago, I returned from an early class only to find that the towers were burning and that soon they would no longer stand. The news became a consistent reminder throughout the day that it was truly happening even though none of it seemed real. Today marked the one year anniversary of the tragedy and it made me want to reach out to the people that are close to me even if it was just briefly. This is something that I wrote as a message to all my friends, and family members, via computer. I hope that it is as touching to others as it has been to those people that I love.
"Today we remember and honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, the innocent victims, the heros, and those whose selfless acts saved lives. For all those who are now risking their lives to end terrorism. For all of this countries heros past and present. To our police officers, firemen, and so many others who put their lives on the line everyday to protect the innocent...today we remember, we honor, and we say thank you. Today we remember 9/11 and we remember our heros."
