I remember the phone ringing and a friend beckoned me to turn the news on. The Twin Towers has just been attacked. As I turned on the new and watched, the second tower had just been attacked and I saw the whole thing. I couldn't believe my eyes. Why would someone want to do such a thing? I followed the events throughout the day. Many tears were shed. Many questions unanswered. My children were 1 1/2 yrs and 2 months at the time. I just held them and watched their faces as they were looking at me crying not knowing why. How can I explain such a thing to these tiny little people who didn't understand. I will just have to wait until they are older to let them know our lives have been changed forever. We normally took walks everyday, but that day I was afraid to go outside. I know we were many miles away but still the thought of something out there was too frightening. I still look up as planes go by wondering when is it going to happen again.
