As I was watching the assault on the Twin Towers, a flood of emotions ran over me. See, I was in an abusive relationship and had not seen my children or family for 4 years. I was afraid to leave for my life. BUT, watching the courage presented by people that day made me realize that I could and would find the strentgth to leave. I did. I moved to Georgia, carrying only a box of clothes and a one-way bus ticket. I started my life all over and I made it! That day so empowered me! All through this past year, I have renewed my faith in God for he DOES answer prayers! Our Nation is strong and Americans are resilient...we can and do overcome any and all adversity. God Bless all of us!
