911DA Story: Story

On the morning of September 11 I walked in to my mom?s room to see the first tower in smoke on the television. I asked my mom what happened, but my mom only said that she didn?t know but an airplane hit the World Trade Center. As I continued to watch the TV I saw the second plane hit. I remember all the news anchors were dumbfound and didn?t know what to say, but after the second plane hit they realized it must have been some sort of attack. I also remember going to school and asking all my friends if they had heard what happened. During lunch my friend was desperately trying to contact her brother who was supposed to be released from service in that army that day, but instead they called him back. It all seemed so fake and surreal? I couldn?t believe it. When I went home all my brothers and sisters were there and we sat around the TV watching the news. During dinner that was all we talked about, while we were washing the dishes that was all we talked about? that was all we talked about for awhile. I remember watching the people jump out of the windows in the World Trade Center and my sister saying ?Oh my God, that?s horrible. It?s just awful.? It was so hard to believe what was happening? I mean, I couldn?t believe it. I think it was harder because I didn?t personally know anyone in New York and I was so far from the World Trade Center that it was just surreal. During the assembly at our school on September 11 earlier this year I wanted to cry, but I think it will be okay.
