I was 4 months pregant with my third baby.My husband and i were at my sisters house playing games all night the night before so we just stayed because it was so late. Between me and my sister and my other friend that was there there was 6 children and two pregant people.around 9 am the kids woke up and of course wanted to watch cartoons. I turned the tv on and only wish now that there was cartoons on that day. The only thing i seen was smoke and then that is when the second plane hit. It was devasting. I was only 18 at the time and my husband was 20 so we never really remembered anything about Dessert Storm or really any kind of war so we were really astonished. I started keeping a journal for my little girl that i was pregant with (that really ended up being a little boy) and told him everything that this world was capable of.And i also told him what a wonderful country he lived in. it was amazing how i never even knew anyone there but felt like my heart was ripped out. The support that this country gave was more than any one even the terroists would ever imagine. As i sit here on this one year anniversary writing this letter so that maybe one day my kids might read it i wonder if this was one of gods great acts of devastation or a triumph because they always say god does amazing things for absoulty no reason at all. This country will never recover from this because that wasn't only an attack against our country that was an attack against the american people and everyone knows you dont piss americans off. One day this world might live as one but until then devasting things like this will contiue to happen until it gets stopped.Mine and my familes hearts and prayers go out to all the familes that lost their special someone on that horrific day.
