911DA Story: Story

I will never forget Sept. 11, 2001. I was sitting in my living room playing games on the internet when someone in the room came across the chat server and said, "Oh my god, the World Trade Center has been hit!" I thought for sure he was just joking so I turned on my television and it was all over the news and then the news of the twin towers came on and I knew that something was not right. My husband was at work and he called me right away and asked me if I had any classes that I had to go to and I did so I told him that I would carry our cell phone on me so if he heard anything about the terrorists planning to strike against Murray State University he could call me and I would come home right away. Well he never called but he was just as scared as I was. I will never forget the fear I felt that day. I know that all the families that lost loved ones in the buildings were petrified and horified over the loss. The only comfort I can give them is to say, "Now the ones who lost their lives in the September 11th terroristic attacks are in a much better place where they are not in any pain and they are much more happier than they could have ever been here on Earth. Just remember every night to thank God for the time that he allowed you to have with the lost loved member and that time will ease your pain.
