I received this image via e-mail in October 2001, and found it to be the perfect expression of the rage I felt then and continue to feel.

As I got off the 4-5 subway on Wall St at around 9.20 am on 9/11, I turned around and I saw the towers in flames. I took many pictures of this, in shocking disbelief. After this I was stuck in the subway trying to head back to GCT for almost 2 hours.…

Through all the destruction and chaos even nature raised it's head to lend a helping hand. Even in devastation beauty rains supreme.

My last photo of the twin towers, June 24, 2001, taken at a construction site in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where streets facing Manhattan used to have an imposing view of the World Trade Center.
