These pictures were taken from a ferry by our Mom or Dad, Alexander Turnbull Shepherd, Sr. (1921-1982) and Alice Craig Shepherd (1920-1981) on a visit from Edinburgh, Scotland in August / September 1978.
I took this photo while visiting one of my sons. We were riding out to the statue of liberty in New York City. The towers seem to have a ghostly appearance.
I am a french citizen born in 1942. I remember that France, my country, was delivered thanks to the help of thousand young american GI and for that I am free.

This image we use to remember...I love NY, I've been there before the attacks...I bring inside my heart all my love for those who died and for those who survived...

This picture was taken 3 months prior to 9/11 from Liberty Island. I had the priviledge of visiting the WTC for the last time on that date. I was also proudly wearing my NYC T-shirt that day.
Picture of the Pier 79 Donation Center (across from Javits Center). One of the ad hoc donation centers setup for the two weeks to receive goods from people driving in from all parts of the country and distribute to rescue workers.
View of the Javits Center from the West Side Hwy on about 9/18 which had been transformed into a command center, donation center, and rescue workers refuge.
This is a coversheet of my negatives from photos I took in NY in August 2001. I look at them everyday now and I am still in shock that the two towers I once photographed were brutally taken away with the innocent lives of many people.

I was visiting NYC on buisness, I laid between the towers and took this photo, after this picture was taken we went to the bar at the top of the tower.
This photo is of a giant flag that was displayed on the Wells Fargo Building in Salt Lake City on Sept. 19, 2001. In tribute to the victims of the Sept. 11th attack.
