911DA Story: Story
IT WAS 4:30 IN THE MORNING . THE PHONE RINGS , IT IS MY HUSBAND FIRST SARGENT OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY. HE TOLD MY HUSBAND TO GET TO WORK NOW. WE DIDN'T KNOW WHY ? HE SAID"WATCH THE NEWS , YOU HAVE 20 MINUTES BRING ALL YOUR GEAR." WHEN WE TURN ON THE T.V. WE FROZE. OH MY GOD WAS OUR FIRST THOUGHT THE SECOND WAS WHEN IS MY HUSBAND LEAVING. WHEN WE GOT ON TO SCHOFIELD BARRACKS 8 HOUR LATER THEY SEARCH OUR CAR AND EVEN HAD ME PULL MY BABY OUT OF HIS CAR SEAT TO CHECK IN IT.I NEED TO GO TO THE STORE BUT OUR POST WENT ON LOCK DOWN.IT WAS THE SCARIEST DAY OF MY LIFE. WHEN MR.BUSH SAID WE WILL FIGHT BACK THAT WAS WHAT WE WANTED TO HEAR. BUT NOW ON SCHOFIELD BARRACKS 8,000 SOLIDERS ARE LEAVING FOR A YEAR. TO FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT AND OUR FREEDOM. THE FAMILIES IN PAIN AND THE SOLIDERS HAVING TO SAY GOOD BYE. WE ALL KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO SAY GOOD BYE BUT DO YOU KNOW HOW PROUD WE ARE WHEN WE SEE THEM AGAIN AFTER A YEAR OF BEING GONE.SO NEVER FORGET AND NEVER TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED. TO MY HUSDAND, HIS COMMRADES AND THE PEOPLE OF 9-11 AND OPERATION FREEDOM GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND WE THINK OF YOU ALWAYS
