Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My husband and I were both working at home the morning of September 11th. He was becoming frustrated because he could not reach his office's web site. (I was not working online.) The only message was that the site was down. At approximately 10:00 am our time (1:00pm in the east), we turned on the television. For the first instant, we thought we were tuned in to a movie or a movie advertisement. Then the horror struck. I love New York city! It is my true soul home & to me the heart of my country. I immediately focused on my friends in the city and friends in the Washington DC area. Then on the larger horror. We sat for several hours transfixed and in tears. We then gathered in downtown Portland for a vigil with others.
