Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: One year ago before 9/11 on April 2000, I visited the Twin Towers during a tour around New York. As I step on to the elevator and the numbers increased towards my destination, I had a feeling that this place is really unique and has an important position in our nation. Being a stranger to the World Trade Center, I explored around, only being able to stay in one building. One year later, when I was told by the teacher of my World Geography class that we're going to another class to watch an important news that just happened, a fearful feeling arose in the pit of my stomache. CNN reports that the Twin Towers have been hit by two planes, possibly linked with terrorists. I was perplexed and shocked. The whole class watched in silence as we saw our Two Towers coming down, crushing on the innocent bystanders and the people that were trapped inside. That day was a very sorrrowful, tragic, and angry day for everyone and it remained as a sad stone in our hearts that will last for a long time, maybe forever. One year later, it still hurts me to see what happened on the day our nation was attacked. The bold words of our President. The cries of our people. People jumping out of the Twin Towers. Families lost. Hearts tearing apart. The last words of beloved ones on the plane. Our people standing together as one. The flags that hung in the middle of the flag pole. Our nation striking back. This and more have made a deep and everlasting memory in my heart and I cry every time it is reminded. I thanked my lucky stars for the people who was delayed to go on the exact planes that crashed or the people who were going to work in the Twin Towers that day that didn't go.
