Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was getting my toddler breakfast and turned on the T.V. in the kitchen and did not understand at first what I was seeing. Then after I realized the the World Trade Centers had been hit I just stood there in complete silence - I'm sure my son was trying to get my attention, but for me it's like the world stood still for a moment. Then the plane hit the pentagon - that's when I called my husband at work to tell him I loved him and that he was a wonderful daddy. I didn't know if the whole country was soon going to be under attack. I was also about 5 months pregnant at the time September 11 occured and for a long time I kept wondering why God would want my husband and I to bring another child into this world. I felt so angry and scared, how was I going to explain to this baby that his once safe world was no longer that way. In time I came to realize that God wants us to bring people into this world to help make it a better place. To show that there is still innocence and peace and joy and laughter to be found. All of us have been forever changed by September 11, 2001. We need to always remember that day - but we need to press on and show the world that America is strong, its citizens are strong and that with every breath we take we show how thankful we are for living in Freedom.
