At first I didn't know about the attacks on the WTC or the Pentagon till after 10 am that morning..I hadn't put on me television and i was listrening to my CD player instead of the radio to hear the latest news.. I was in the midst of getting ready to go down to the court house here in West Orange to attend my best friend's wedding..Needless to say when I got there a lady had mentioned it in passing and I tohught she was crazy and was telling some kind of joke, but by then I was already at the courthouse and missdd the wedding...I was then in the car with the married couple and their 6 month old son on our way to a reception in a diner in Bloomfield...Before we left I heard on the radio in the car that the first tower of the WTC has collapsed and then everything said was not a joke but really happening..I immediately called all my friends to see if any of them had heard the news, but when i went to call my friend Becky collect, the lady said "due to the WTC twers collapse, your call can not be completed at this time." I then went home and saw all the news on TV, and pleaded with my grandfather NOT to go to Atlantic City because I was affraid they would attack there also..He said he would be fine and he was going..I was upset about what had happened that I didn't sleep for days...It was the most tragic day in US history but to me there was a ray of light when My Friends Darlene and Michael got married on a warm sunny day that turned into tradgedy all over the world...This is my story of where I was the day the country stood still and USA became crippled...
