911DA Story: Story

I remember this day because it started out like any other day...that is at first. I went to school and we changed classes and I remember walking into second period and hearing about it. I didn't understand how serious it was at first, I was just looking forward to a day off of school. I remember realizing how terrible it was when I saw the towers go down on tv over and over again, thats a sight you can't forget and seeing it in person must have been awful. I remember the hope yet sadness in people's eyes as they seached for loved ones and I remember how frightened America became as a whole...yet at the same time, our country hasn't been so close in a long time. Donations poured out, and people stood in mile long lines to give blood...Lives were taken that day and they cannot be replaced, but you can't replace the pride of being an American that has swallowed this country. You took some of us out but you will never over come... God Bless America, and never lose hope.
