greetings.  x, the woman who came to the main meeting on tuesday
and announced the film showing this weekend, has lined up another
showing for 1 week from tonight, 10/25, at WYOU studios.  they've got
the movies, location, equipment, all lined up.  all they need from us
is help publicizing it (posting on the web, sending to email lists,
putting up flyers, etc), and making it a useful organizational event
by having sign-up sheets and leaflets about MAPC there, participating
in the discussion after the showing about what people can do, etc,
etc.  details below.

can anyone volunteer to help coordinate this event?  in particular,
just making sure that the various means of publicity are being
followed through with, and getting people from MAPC to be there to
organize at the event itself.  i'd do it, but i just found out i have
to leave town for work first thing on saturday morning, and i don't
get back until late next thursday.  please contact x by friday,
10/19 at the latest (x).  thanks!

 In solidarity,

Subject: Need an MAPC volunteer for video screenings next week...
Date: Thu, 18 Oct 2001 14:02:43 -0500

Hi x,
Please send to relevant people / lists.

We have Oct 25th 6:30 - 11pm at WYOU available for a 'second' public
screening of the 'Peace Videos' and any other videos the audience
would like to see.  (refer list of videos at the end of email) A
discussion after the videos would also be a good idea.

We need atleast one person at MAPC who can be a point contact and
organizer to use this screening opportunity as an outreach and
organizing tool for the Peace Efforts.  This would include getting the
word out, flyers, postering, email lists, signup sheets at event and
generally using this as an organizing opportunity.

WYOU can provide location, equipment and do the screening.

Most of this has already been setup and its just a bit of effort
needed in the next few days to 'pull this together'. I unfortunately
do not have the bandwidth to pull this through next week.

Can anyone at MAPC take this up ?  we may not be able to go ahead with
it without this input. We need to figure this out by tommorow to go
ahead with the Oct 25th screenings.
