Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was at work listening to a book on tape. All of sudden things kind of went crazy. I saw people up in the aisles talking. At first I didn't really pay attention to what was going on. At 9:15, my friend Cathy & I took our break and that is when I first heard that the World Trade Center had been hit by a plane.They had a tv on in the cafeteria and we sat and watched them replay footage of the second plane hitting the the second tower. I just sat there in disbelief wanting to make sure my children were all right. They were in school taking the ISTEP tests but as I found out later, they were fine. Around 10:30 our boss called us together for a little meeting. She had told in light of what happened we could go home if we wanted to. I went home and spent the rest of the day watching the coverage on tv transfixed, yet horrorfied. I was so far away but I felt like I needed to do something. The only thing I could do at that point was to pray for all those souls that got caught when the buildings came down...May God rest their souls.
