on september 11,2001,i turned 34 years old.i was at work at mcdoalds when i recieved a phone call and instead of birthday wishes i was informed by my supervisor that a plan had hit one of the twin towers.i was also aware that president bush was around the corner from my work place reading to children at emma e booker elementary school.this was suppose to be a day for me to celebrate life it turned into black tuesday for me that was a terrible feeling.i still get depressed although it has been a year my birthday will never be the same.as i celebrate life i also have to have a moment of silence for those who lost their life.i'm sure in time i will begin to feel better.
