911DA Story: Story

On Sept. 11 I was in Tower One (North Tower) on the 86th fl. when the first hijacked airliner struck . My boss and I were the only ones in at the time in the morning.
My Boss saw the plane it the building. After the shock of the plane hitting the building, we tried to get out, after the celing and walls came crumbing down we had to dig our way out, but still could not get out becuase there was to much smoke and we could not see anything. So we ran back to our desks and made calls to our love one's and I changed my high heels and put on flats. We new the drill as we were there in 1993 when the building was bombed. We then made our way back to the door the hallways was clear, and we made our way down the stairs. If took 1 and a half hous to reach the bottom, we never new anothr plane had it the building. When we reached the gound floor we know we were safe and were hugging and kissing and thanking GOD. Then building TWO fall, which cause an explosion. I was blown from one side to the other side, I was tired and hurt, wet and scared I had been blown into a pile of glass on my knees. It took every bit of strenght I had to go on but I did. I heard a man's voice saying if you see the light come to the light, and I did and he got me out. One year later I have 40 stiches and I have had to have an operation on my knee, and I sit here today with a case on my knee as a reminder of 9/11/2001
