Hello, My name is Tina. When the attacks on 9-11 occurred, I was asleep until my husband came home and woke me up to tell me what was happening. My husband is in the military and we live a military arsenal base. It is a very secured area. I was horrified when I saw the accounts on the news. I just couldn't believe what my eyes were telling me. Then the panic started to hit. I was so afraid that the arsenal would be hit next. There are a lot of military "stuff" out here. Things that could hurt a lot of people. My family had started to call us to see if we were alright. My Mother and Step-Father decided to come from Oklahoma to get us. We have a baby who was just 6 months old at the time and my family was petrified. So we packed some things in a haste and left the arsenal. Leaving the arsenal was a feat in itself. Every car and every person was searched. They put us on total "lock down". Well, we finally met my family at a site in between our two homes. I stayed with my family for 2 weeks. My husband stayed home because being military, he had to be on base in order to defend it if necessary. I pray every day that nothing like that ever happens to our country again. One thing for sure that stands out now is that our country has truely become "ONE UNITED NATION".
