My husband had left with my daughter to take her to school. I was in the livingroom with my son just turning on the television to catch the end of the morning news show as I usually do on school days. I had a room full of day care children and saw the replay of the first plane hitting. I instantly called my mother in Indiana. While on the phone with her, the second plane hit. I remember saying "Oh no" and my mother, who works in a school and did not have a television, asked what happened. I explained that a second plane hit. I was torn between picking up my daughter from school or allowing her to spend the day there with her classmates. I called the school and was told they would continue on with classes to keep a sense of normalacy in the children's lives. I waited until the end of school to pick her up. It was the longest day of my life.
