I was in my senior year Enlish class when a student came in late. He blurted out that while in the office signing in he saw that a plane had hit the World Trade Center Building in NYC. I can be honest, I didn't really know anything about the WTC buildings. At first we all thought it was some sort of accident but then as we stood watching, the second plane hit and it was unbelievable. I was scared and uncertain. I remember thw whole day my friends and I were quiet. We were all uncertain of our futures, as well as our country's future. I was so excited to graduate and go to college and pursue my dream to be a nurse and now I wondered would it ever come true, would there be a war and a draft that might take my then boyfriend(now husband) and my brother overseas. Then I saw classmates who were histerical because they had family in NYC. I always thought about how my grandparents, parents even, had gone through wars and scary things and never did I imagine that I would have something like this happen in my time. Never did I think I would be able to look at my children's history book someday and see an event I can rememeber so vivdily like I will 9/11/06. I will never forget that day, I will never forget the people who lost their lives that day, and I will never look at the world the same.
