911DA Story: Story

I dislocated my knee on September 10, 2001. I will never forget that day, because I was unable to walk the next day and watched the whole unbelieveable tragedy play out on the television. I never felt so helpless and yet so fortunate, I have never felt so angry and yet so full of love for my fellow man. I never realized how many wonderful people there are in the world, and I have never been so saddened that there are some very awful people too.

Now that a year has gone by I feel no pain in my knee, but I feel deep pain in my heart, because others are hurting. I believe as Edmund Burke that "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing," and as long as one of us are chained - none of us are free.
