911DA Story: Story

I remember waking up and doing the usual, getting ready for school like any other day. I got to school and my first class was band. I went into the drum room and the lights were out and the percussionists were watching the television, and I figured it wasn't anything important so I took my drum and started practicing. The Drumline told me to stop, and I kept wondering why, when finally they explained to me that the Twin Towers were just hit by a plane. At first I was pretty apathetic about the whole thing thinking it was no big deal, it happens. Finally when I realized the reality of the situation I felt terrible about the way I acted. It wasn't until I heard the announcements that I realized it was serious. That day at school we didn't have so much assignments because we kept talking about what had happened. When I got home my parents made it more clear to me and we were in prayer for those who were in the September 11th tragedy. Our church reflected upon it and prayed over lives that were lost.
I learned through this, to not worship the fire fighters and people involved in this, but to honor them and to worship God only!
