911DA Story: Story
I was in my 8:00am class at York College of Pennsylvania on Sept. 11th 2001 when the planes hit the towers. When I first heard a plane hit the towers, I thought it was a smaller single engine plane, I didnt even think of a passenger plane. Then another plane hit the south tower, and I realized what was going on. It seemed never ending, planes where going down, it hit closer to home when the plane crashed in PA, a couple hours from where I go to school. All day I think everyone at the campus was in shock of what had just taken place. I could not call anyone to see if they were okay, it was a real problem. Honestly it had been a long time since I had cried, but I just could help feeling sorry for the families of the victimes, I couldn't help but cry. It was a mixture of many emotions, anger, sadness, alone, which I'm sure all Americans felt. It was truly a sad day in history, but if anything good could have come it was the support of cities and communities who came together to help heal. I pray to God nothing like this ever happens again in my life or the lives of my unborn children.
