Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Being from South Carolina is so different than being a New Yorker. You know New York is there because you see the skyline and so many parts of the city all the time--in the news, in movies, pictures everywhere. I was very shaken that morning on hearing about New York, but I realized that is was "surreal" because I have never been there (except as a six-year-old). But when I saw the Pentagon, I realized that our nation was in fact being attacked and the attacks were real. I have been to the Pentagon and seen it on many occasions because my father was in the U.S. Army and was stationed there in the late 1960s. Those images of the plane in the building were too much, and something I will never forget for the rest of my life. Perhaps the only good to come out of September 11th is that our nation truly became united. I am so proud. God Bless America!
