911DA Story: Story
It was just a beautiful, otherwise ordinary day. I was going about my day first taking my mom to the doctor's.
I had my cell phone on. My daughter-in-law called and asked me if I knew what was going on. I had not turned the TV on that morning. I was listening to the radio, but at that time, there was no mention of anything out of the ordinary.
I was in shock! How could this be happening? Was it an accident? Those poor people!
As the morning wore on, the second plane hit the second WTC tower. A plane was down in Pennsylvania! Had everyone gone crazy? Who could do such a thing to us? What twisted kind of a person could even imagine such destruction upon another person?
When I could view it on the TV I just sat and cried. How can someone hate people so whom they have never met?
I pray for those men and women who have lost a loved one in that act of hate. I have a renewed appreciation for the Flag, the firemen, polieceman, and rescue squads. God Bless them all!
