911DA Story: Story

I was near the end of my daily 28 mile commute to work when the the first announcement came over the car radio that an airliner had struck one of the Twin Towers in NYC. At first it seemed like a terrible accident.

Got to work and turned on the radio for more news of the plane crash only to hear that another plane had crashed into the other Twin Tower and then the awful feeling that these were no accidents.

One of the guys in the office went out to buy a portable TV for the office so that for most of the rest of the day, we stood around in a state of shock while trying to stay functional for the work that we were supposed to be doing.

I will never forget the shock and sorrow for those lives so wantonly taken away from us and the tragedy that those who perpretated these horrible events could be led into such acts by such a mis-guided philosophy. While we attempt to deal with these people in our own pathetic ways, my real belief is that they will meet their appropriate judgements in whatever comes beyond this life as we know it.
