Tell us your story: this time last year i was flying for chatauqua airlines as a flight attendant. i was scheduled off that day.. thank goodness!! shortly after the attack happened i must of had twenty calls in a row from friends and family making sure that i was o.k. most of my family didn't know if i was flying or not so they were worried to death where i was. i called alot of flight crew members that i knew were flying to make sure they were o.k. alot of our crews were grounded in bouston and new york because we had daily flights in/out of there. it was so sad to talk to the crews that were there because they spent several days away from home and there families. i took a four day trip shortly after the attack and it was very different. the airports were so quiet and the flights were almost empty. all the crew members you talked to were so sad because they didn't know if they would have a job the next day or not. i got to do a ferry flight over the world trade center and could see eveything. i remember seeing the smoke in the air for several days afterward. you could see all the fireman at work from the air and people walking around looking at the damage that had been caused. i will never forget that day as long as i live. the world changed drasticly that day but i am glad to see that the u.s.a. has recovered from it. it will never be forgotten. god bless america and all the lives that were taken.. amen!!
