911DA Story: Story

I was on my way to a morning class at Mississippi State University. I turned on the radio and heard something about planes crashing into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I thought it was a huge accident, but I was terribly wrong. After arriving at school, several students were huddled around the television watching in disbelief. About an hour later I watched one tower after the other collapse. It was like watching something in a movie. It just did not look real. The next several hours I was filled with great anxiety and sadness. I went in my room and cried later that evening. I felt a great amount of guilt for what had happened and tried to put myself in the shoes of the victims and their thoughts. Just a few years ago I visited the World Trade Center. After the tragedy I put the picture up on my refrigerator to remember those who were lost. They paid the ultimated price so that we may tighten up the security and safety of our country. May God bless the victims as well as their families.
